Plus, it has a great futuristic appearance. The design features a dual hub motor that together has 3,000 watts, and the rider can go at speeds of up to 22 miles per hour. The average distance on the 7AH certified LG battery is 12 miles (depending on factors such as speed) and it can climb inclines up to 25 degrees. Charging the battery takes about 3 hours.

Positive Points about the Halo Electric Skateboard
The Halo Board is fast with its dual motors at 26mph. This is more than double the speed of the RazorX Cruiser at 10mph. Add in the Halo Board’s distance of 12 miles, and you get a combination that not every electric skateboard can match. Another great point is that it does not have connectivity issues the way that many other models do. We also like that you can check how far you travel and how much battery is left on the Halo via the remote’s LCD screen. Also useful is the Bluetooth remote that enables you to brake, accelerate, and reverse easily. We are impressed with the performance of the Halo Skateboard too. For example, it can tackle hills (up to 25 degrees) and then provides a soft movement going downhill with its eABS system. It has a concave design too that gives the rider full control. All of these positive points make its price reasonable, in our opinion.

Is There Anything You Would Change?
A minor drawback to note in this Halo Board review, as per some online reviewers, is that the skateboard won’t bring you to a stop suddenly. Instead, it slowly brings you to a stop, explain some reviewers online. This is because of its eABS system (regenerative braking). However, this feature is in place for safety reasons. So, whether this is a drawback or not depends on whether you’d rather have an immediate stopping ability or the comfort and safety provided by this special braking system.
Halo Skateboard vs. Top 10 Best Electric Skateboards: Unique Qualities
This Halo model differentiates itself from many other top 10 best electric skateboards by enabling users to ride it like a classic skateboard even when there’s no battery juice left. Thus, it is still used for transport. This feature is not one with belted motor boards. Also special is the 100-percent carbon fiber material, which provides you with a long-lasting mode of transport. We also want to note in this Halo Board review that the board’s futuristic appearance also sets it apart from the crowd.

Backfire Galaxy G2T Electric Skateboard Review
The Backfire Galaxy G2T’s Top Features
The best qualities of the G2T Electric Skateboard, in our opinion, are:
- Super stable, even at high speeds
- 20% more powerful accelerations
- Comes with 2 wheel sizes
First Impressions: The Backfire Galaxy G2T Electric Skateboard
Right away we noticed the unique design of the G2T. Backfire is known its one-of-a-kind style and attention to detail, including the construction of the deck. Specifically, the Galaxy G2T Electric Skateboard features a concave deck, rather than being completely flat the way that most other ones are on the market.
This subtle bend probably won’t be apparent to your friends but it will provide you with many benefits as the rider. For example, your feet get additional support while on the move, whether you go straight, turn, or climb hills with gradients up to 25%. You’ll likely also feel a higher sense of control than the typical deck design.
We also think Backfire made great choices for its color schemes. The Galaxy G2T comes in Galaxy (blues and purples) or Black Gold (black and yellow). We especially like the Black Gold style. It has yellow accents that pop against the mainly black board. On the deck’s underside is a bold yellow “V” and several thin lines, while the top features the Backfire name. The overall look is sporty and modern.
What Can You Expect When Riding at High Speeds?
Backfire’s Galaxy G2T Electric Skateboard not only looks good but it also has a strong build. Its deck is made of Hard Rock Maple – 8 layers of it, to be exact. While it is flexible and has a slight bend in design, the G2T is highly dependable with terrific foot support.
The quality board also absorbs a lot of shock while riding at any speed, thanks to the metal rings within the back wheels. So, whether you’re a beginner who wants to go slow or a seasoned user who feels the need for speed, you’ll enjoy a smoother ride because of this skateboard’s ability to absorb shock well.
Moreover, you’ll also get a great ride at high speeds with the famous Caliber II 50-Degree as the front truck of the Galaxy G2T Electric Skateboard. As users explain online, it carves really well, including when you’re going fast. Unfortunately though it takes 2.5 hours to charge fully once it runs out of juice after about 14.9 miles of distance.
But we feel that the superior stability of this electric skateboard makes up for the waiting time. It is strong too because of its low center of gravity. It is lower than the G2s, for example, at 110mm rather than 275mm. As an experienced rider knows, feeling lower the ground when zooming down a hill helps you feel more secure and at ease. The lower center of gravity comes mainly from the two custom In-Hub motors.
How Else Is the Backfire Galaxy G2T Unique?
While most electric skateboards come with only the pre-attached wheels, Backfire includes an extra wheel set with the Galaxy G2T. The 83mm wheels are already on the board when you get it. But you’ll notice in the package there are also four 96mm wheels. They are free of charge, just in case you want to swap out the current ones for a different riding experience.
For example, smaller wheels make you closer to the ground, which help you feel more comfortable when going fast. For most other brands, you’d have to swap out the motors to put on new wheels, but that’s not necessary with the custom motors on the G2T. Keeping the same motor saves you tons of money over time and you can still pick from different tire sizes.
The G2T also comes with an R2 wireless remote controller, only from Backfire. It has a cool OLED display, which means it’ll light up without a backlight. On the display you’ll see battery status, speed, range, mode, and more. Go between the different available modes or choose the one you like best. The modes are Turbo, Eco, Sport, and Fixed Speed Road Cruise.
The Powerful Acceleration Feature
Are you wondering about that Turbo mode? We were too when we started writing this electric skateboard review. The Galaxy G2T has a Turbo key, which you simply press to get 30 seconds more power upon acceleration. Yes, the 36V 6.0Ah battery has Samsung 30Q cells that can increase their range by 20% for a more powerful acceleration when you want it.
After that high-power period ends, there’s the same amount of time for the cool down. What’s really neat is that you get good get-up-and-go with this Backfire G2T, all without increasing its highest speed. It can go an impressive 23.5mph at fastest speed.
Final Words on the Backfire G2T Electric Skateboard Review
With its low center of gravity, two sizes of wheels, cool good looks, and Turbo acceleration feature, there’s a lot to like about the Galaxy G2T from Backfire. It’s no wonder we recommend it for both beginner and more seasoned riders of electric skateboards. If you’re looking for a stable board that looks different than the others and rides smoothly at high speeds, this one may be right for you.
Backfire Galaxy G2s Ranking
Backfire Galaxy G2s Electric Skateboard/Longboard Review
About the Backfire Company
The team behind this longboard is Backfire. Founders Jerry and Randy were skateboard enthusiasts since college, back in the 2000’s. In 2009 they launched Backfire Skateboards with the mission to offer affordable boards that were still high quality. Fast forward five years and they entered the electric skateboard market. Since then the company has launched the Backfire G1, G2, and now the G2s.
When the team put the Backfire Galaxy G2s on Indiegogo to help raise funds for the project, it was very popular by boarders around the globe for its many features and high quality at a decent price point. Today Backfire has grown to be a leading Electric Skateboard brand.
Top Backfire G2s Electric Skateboard Features
- Climb up to 25% grade hills
- Fast speeds up to 23.5 mph
- Ultra-flexible yet solid design
What is the Galaxy G2s Made of?
This Backfire electric skateboard is composed of Hard Rock Maple. With eight layers of this material, it has the benefit of being super flexible while also providing a solid base for the feet. Furthermore, it is curved, making for great shock absorption on your ride. This means that the ride is smoother than with some other boards. The result is a fun experience that seems almost effortless.
Backfire’s Smart G2s Design
The Galaxy G2s electric longboard is 38 inches and features quality cells. It has a respectable battery at 36V, 5Ah. Also part of the design is 300-watt in hub motors. There are four pre-installed 80mm wheels too.
Its slightly concave surface makes for a board that many riders say is stable. It helps to make riding and turning easier, with the user feeling in control with their feet, even if they are a newer rider or on a longer ride.
There are mixed reviews online about the hub motor design. While some riders find they provide a good riding experience, others report a bit of vibration. For users feeling any vibration issues, swapping out the 80mm pair for the spare 96mm wheels that come in the G2s package can alleviate the issue.
A positive attribute too is that Backfire uses a modern motor controller that is reliable and smooth. What’s more, all of this with a light weight of just 14.5 lbs.
The Caliber II front truck is impressive too. This feature allows for awesome carving and is a rarity for Chinese boards. Lastly, the enclosures look custom rather than like an awkward add-on.
The appearance of the Backfire Galaxy G2s is sleek and eye-catching. There are two designs, both equally appealing. Choose from either the space-inspired Galaxy or the black gold design. The gold trim matches the logo in the latter design, making for a comprehensive, sophisticated look. There is a high-gloss finish that gives a top quality look to this electric skateboard.
Performance Ratings of the Galaxy G2s
This G2s from Backfire can go up to 23.5 miles per hour. This is fast, and still the user feels stable. It has one of the fastest speeds out there for electric skateboards!
According to Backfire, it goes as far as 12 miles or 20km on this board on a single battery charge. There is some variation with distance by rider’s weight, road conditions, and other factors. The charge time for the battery is 3.5 hours, which is average for electric longboards.
What is more special is the ability to go up to 25% gradients on hills. This is steeper than some other boards. It makes for a great ride over different terrain seamlessly. Combine that feature with gradual battery usage and an affordable price for a quality board that we want to support. With its built-in Battery Management System, you can do a heard brake knowing you won’t drain your whole battery right then and there. This system gives you peace of mind if you’re planning to go a far distance one day.
And the lightweight design helps you turn with ease and pick up the board relatively easily too when arriving at your destination.
What’s Unique about the Backfire G2s Electric Skateboard?
Its inclusion of the globally-recognized Caliber II truck as the front truck is awesome. You’ll get better carving and also great stability even at high speeds. The rear truck is well constructed too for a sturdy ride overall.
Also unique about Backfire’s Galaxy G2s is that it comes with 80mm wheels and also an extra set of four larger wheels for going on rockier terrain. Most boards do not offer an extra set of wheels.
Conclusions on the G2s Longboard
We conclude that Backfire’s Galaxy G2s is very well priced for all of the included features. It not only provides riders with two sets of wheels but can reach high speeds and look good all the while. It has a sleek appearance, whichever of the two styles you choose for the deck, and a concave style that adds to its stable feel under the feet. For both new and more advanced riders, this Backfire model offers a lot of fun times and great value.
Evolve Bamboo GTX Ranking
Evolve Bamboo GTX Electric Skateboard Review
Our First Impressions
Evolve has done well at refining its models over time, making them less bulky. The GTX Series is an example with its great streamlined design. It is appealing in black with flashy gold accents, such as a cool Evolve emblem. While there are variations within the GTX lineup, we focus our review solely on the All-Terrain model. We think it’s very sleek looking.
Bamboo GTX All-Terrain: Best Features of this Evolve Electric Skateboard
The “X” in the GTX Series name refers to Extras, so we were eager to research all the features of this bamboo longboard. It offers a step above the Bamboo GT with these top features:
- Fast at up to 26mph
- Goes up steep gradients – up to 25%
- Multiple speed modes
4 Speed Modes for Different Skill Levels
One of the things we like most about this Evolve board is that it appeals to riders new to the electric longboarding scene as well as those who are more experienced. With more riding speeds than the Bamboo GT, it allows riders to get a safe ride and go at the pace they’re comfortable with given their experience. There’s also the handy ability to change speeds on the fly according to current road conditions.
The FAST speed will appeal to those who are experts at electric skateboarding or very familiar with the Evolve lineup. If you’re an adrenaline junkie then you’re likely to enjoy that the Bamboo GTX All-Terrain can go up to 26 miles per hour. This speed is faster than some other top 10 electric skateboard models. As for GT mode, it is one with big power and allows you to accelerate to go up hills with up to a 25 percent gradient. That’s steeper than a lot of boards out there, although you do pay a bit more than some other models to get it.
If it’s your first time on one of these longboards, or if it’s for a younger user, the SLOW mode will probably be ideal. Going slow allows the rider to be cautious and gives you time to get a feel for the way the deck moves on different terrain. Meanwhile, ECO mode is a great option for a laid-back ride.
More Benefits of the Bamboo GTX All-Terrain Skateboard
Evolve’s electric skateboard comes with a useful remote. It keeps you up to date on battery level, speed, range, and mode. Easily hold it in your hand on the go and see the settings clearly any time of the day with the cool LCD screen. What’s extra cool is that these updates happen in real time; change your speed, and you’ll see it there on the screen.
What’s more, the battery size of the Bamboo GTX All-Terrain is considerably bigger than the Bamboo GT. That explains how it has the power to go up such steep hills, in combination with the 300-watt motors. The oversized battery also provides awesome performance, including being able to go long distance.
It can go as far as 20 miles on a single charge, which gives you peace of mind while out running an errand that your battery is less likely to need charging mid-route. A downside though is the 4-5 hours of charging time needed to juice up the battery fully. The exact distance varies according to factors like weight and terrain. By the way, this Evolve electric longboard can carry up to 220 pounds.
Assessing Construction of the Bamboo GTX Series All-Terrain Deck
This bamboo electric longboard is built solid. It features a combination of quality 2 ply bamboo and 7 ply Canadian maple hardwood. The result is a deck with medium flexibility for more of a bump-free experience. The smoothness makes for a more enjoyable ride for any skill level, in our opinion. What’s more, the Super Carve trucks provide a reliable, stable base for carving or cruising. And they look great in fierce black. They are 12 inches wide. 306mm/12inch width. 306mm/12inch width.
As for the all-terrain wheels, they enable you to go on any surface you come across, which is perfect if you are out on the sidewalk and then come across a pebbled surface or another surface type. And it’s got a drop-down style that makes for great riding. The deck length is 38 inches, while the wheelbase is 29 inches.
Plus, there is regenerative braking built-in, which makes the Evolve GTX great for providing a feeling of control and helping to keep you safe as you go across different terrain. Roll to a full stop when you want with this latest braking system.
Final Words on Evolve’s Bamboo GTX All-Terrain Skateboard
Whether you’re a newbie or an expert at electric skateboarding, the Bamboo GTX Series All-Terrain deck can meet your needs. Choose from 4 different riding modes, according to your preferences, and go across any terrain. It can even go up 25-degree gradients for hills, which is awesomely steep. While this board is not the cheapest one out there, you do get a lot for your money, including plenty of power and performance from the motors and a big battery. The bamboo deck is well made too. We conclude our Bamboo GTX All-Terrain Electric Skateboards with these words: we recommend it.
Inboard M1 Electric Skateboard Review
Leading M1 Features
The top 3 features of the Inboard M1 E-Skateboard are:
- In-Wheel Motors
- Swappable Battery
- 3 Riding Modes
The board has a swappable lithium-ion battery that can go about 7 miles on a charge, with factors like rider weight affecting it. It takes 90 minutes to charge the included 43.2V battery.
How the Inboard M1 Looks Different
This e-skateboard has a sleek, minimal look. It looks different than some other popular models as it doesn’t have the typical belt drive motors for in-wheel motors. The result is not only a clean look but also a tech feel. It’s as attractive as the futuristic-looking Halo Board.
Looking at the M1, you might mistake it for a traditional skateboard. But get on this board, and you will soon realize it’s so much more than that. This unique design also gives it a smooth ride, especially with the rubber wheels. This e-board has electronic regenerative braking too rather than a more abrupt style of braking system. The hub motor has a cool, high-tech sound too.
Benefits of the M1 Electric Skateboard
Like the Halo Board, the Inboard M1 has an included remote to power it on or off easily. We also like that the M1 electric skateboard is suitable for any experience level, from a complete newbie to an expert. It has 3 riding modes, so the rider can modify it to what they feel comfortable with and still feel safe. Plus, the modern design of the in-wheel motors enables a fast, tight turn around corners that enthusiasts are likely to enjoy.
And even when going high speeds, this board still feels grounded rather than flimsy. Users explain in online reviews that they feel they are in control of the board, rather than the other way around, even when going at higher speeds. Speaking of speed, this Inboard model goes fast, reaching up to 22 miles per hour, which is identical to the Halo Board. The M1 even has the fun ability to go backward.
The Unique Swappable Battery of Inboard’s M1
If you plan to commute via the M1 longboard, then you’ll want to learn about its swappable battery. This Inboard electric skateboard is the world’s first to have these PowerShift battery packs. With other boards, they go a certain distance before the battery dies and then you can’t just swap it out to keep going. The M1 e-board is different.
The batteries charge via a magnetic charger and then once fully charged simply insert it into the board’s compartment by opening the hatch. The final step is to slide the battery into place, and then off you go. This process takes only a few minutes. The swappable battery is superior to a built-in battery, in our opinion. It is even safe for air travel.
Inboard M1 Skateboard Review: Are there any Drawbacks?
The stiffness of the board may take some getting used to. The composite material is more rigid than a bamboo board or the lightweight carbon fiber Halo Board. But once you figure out how to move your weight for optimal balance, you’ll be in a great position to use it daily.
Also, the Inboard M1, unfortunately, won’t be affordable for everyone. It is in the upper price range for electric skateboards so it won’t fit into every person’s budget. On the other hand, it offers a fast yet safe ride, making this board a reliable means of transport that can save you money if you skip the car or bus regularly to use it instead. So, over time, when used in this way, it can be seen as an item that you get your money back on.
How is it Safety-Wise?
This electric skateboard has safety features that give the rider peace of mind while commuting. The 3 riding modes, for example, let the user adjust their speed to what they feel comfortable with and feel in control all the while. This statement is true whether the rider is new to longboards or an enthusiast.
We support eBoards with great safety features like this. For example, the Halo Board in our top 10 has an eABS system for regenerative braking, which slowly brings users to a stop. Another safety feature of the M1 is its front and back lights that make the rider easier to see if using it in dark conditions, such as nighttime.
Plus, the M1 longboard comes with a lengthy manufacturer’s warranty, which gives you peace of mind in its quality. It includes a 1 A convenient feature is that the board can turn on or off via the included remote. 2-month warranty against manufacturer defects.
Final Thoughts on the Inboard M1 Longboard
The M1 Electric Skateboard is a great performer, from its high speeds to its ability to go up hills and backward. It hugs curves with a stiff, dependable frame. Plus, the ride is a smooth one with its in-wheel motors. While the M1 won’t fit everyone’s budget, it is worth the higher price tag, in our opinion.
There are integrated safety features, for example, including the 3 riding modes. The groundbreaking swappable battery is a great idea too. Both new and more advanced riders can have fun on this e-skateboard and also commute easily. With so many positive attributes, we support the Inboard M1.
