We love that this NG2 model provides riders with the option to ride hands-free or use the included remote. Going hands-free, simply shift your weight on the deck like a traditional cruiser skateboard to ride it.
Going hands-free can be exhilarating as you focus solely on the ride, shifting your balance to accelerate and enjoying the road experience. Just lean frontward to move forward to increase the speed, thanks to the front sensors and artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
The somatosensory navigation system is a throwback to the traditional skateboard but uses the latest tech, providing a great mix of retro and new. The smart sensors move you forward, and then when you want to slow down, reverse, or stop altogether, all you need to do is lean back.
The design is intuitive and intelligent. But it takes time to get used to stopping smoothly, according to some user reviews online, so be prepared to practice when you first get the e-board. Also, it’s not Bluetooth enabled, which means it might not be right for someone who wants to play music while they ride.
